Why hold stock in the US instead of shipping each order from the UK?
Because since 29 August 2025 every parcel sent from the UK or Europe to a US customer has to clear customs and pay duty, whatever its value, and your customer can be asked to pay before it is delivered.
With your stock in New York, the import happens once, in bulk. Every order after that is a domestic US delivery: no customs charges at the door, no transatlantic transit for each parcel, and returns that stay in the US.

Why now
What changed for UK and European brands selling to the US
Since 2025 the US has ended duty-free parcels, Amazon has stopped prepping stock for sellers, and the import rules for overseas companies have tightened. Here is what changed, and when.
Duty-free parcels end
The US suspended its $800 duty-free allowance for parcels from every country, and made the suspension indefinite in June 2026. Every parcel now clears customs and pays duty, whatever its value.
Amazon stops prepping in the US
Amazon no longer preps or labels items for sellers sending stock to its US fulfilment centres. FBA stock has to arrive bagged, labelled and ready.
Importer rules tightened
A US executive order restricted how importers of record based outside the US bring goods in, with the changes phased in over six months.
Duty-free parcels end in law
A 2025 US law removes the $800 allowance permanently from this date.

How does stock get from the UK or Europe to New York?
We arrange or book the freight, by sea, air or courier, from our warehouse in the UK or Poland, from your own warehouse or from your supplier.
Every shipment into the US needs an importer of record and a customs entry. Customs clearance is handled by specialist partners we introduce you to, and we book your stock in, count it and check it when it reaches New York.
Check your importer of record before the first shipment: in June 2026 the US tightened the rules for importers based outside the US.
Can one provider cover the UK, the EU and the US?
Yes. Warehouse Box fulfils from Middlewich for the UK, from Poland for the EU and from New York for the US, so a brand already selling in Britain and Europe can add the US with the same provider.
Start with the market you need and add the others when you are ready. Each location is confirmed for your products before anything moves.
What does USA fulfilment cost?
We quote from your products, stock levels, monthly orders and handling needs, and confirm it in a written quote; we do not publish a rate card.
US fulfilment is invoiced in US dollars. Freight, duty and customs charges depend on your products and their route.

FAQ
Questions UK and European brands ask
Do I need a US company to sell in the US?
Not to hold stock with us, but every shipment into the US needs an importer of record. Since June 2026 the US has tightened the rules for importers based outside the US, so check before your first shipment whether to import through your own company, a US company or a US importer. Specialist partners we introduce you to can advise on customs clearance.
Will my US customers pay import charges?
No. Their orders ship from New York as domestic US deliveries. Duty is paid once, when your stock enters the US in bulk.
Can you prepare stock for Amazon.com?
Yes. We prepare FBA shipments in New York to Amazon’s requirements, including item labels, bagging and cartons, and we can fulfil seller-fulfilled (FBM) orders too. Amazon stopped offering its own prep and item labelling service in the US on 1 January 2026.
Which sales channels can you connect to?
Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce and other platforms. We confirm each connection for New York before your first order ships.
What do you need from us for a quote?
What you sell, roughly how many US orders you expect each month, the channels you sell on and where your stock is now. We tell you whether we are a fit and send a written quote.
