Amazon.com for UK and European sellers
Amazon FBA prep in the USA for UK and European sellers
Since 1 January 2026 Amazon no longer preps or labels items for sellers in the US, so stock for its US fulfilment centres has to arrive ready. Warehouse Box preps your Amazon.com stock in New York: item labels, bagging and cartons to Amazon’s requirements, with FBM orders fulfilled from the same stock.

What changed for Amazon.com sellers on 1 January 2026?
Amazon stopped offering its own prep and item labelling service in the US, so FBA stock has to arrive at its fulfilment centres already bagged, labelled and packed to its requirements.
For a UK or European seller that leaves two choices: prepare everything before the stock leaves Europe, or ship it to the US in bulk and have it prepared there.
Why prep in New York rather than before shipping from the UK?
Because prepping in the US lets you ship in bulk and decide later how much goes to Amazon, how much is held back and how much serves your own store’s orders.
Prepping before the stock leaves the UK fixes those decisions before it crosses the Atlantic. In New York they stay open, and if a label needs changing, it is changed in New York, before the stock reaches Amazon.
Prepping before the stock leaves Europe compared with prepping in New York
- Where the prep happens
- Before it leaves the UK or EU: In the UK or EU, before the stock is shipped
- With Warehouse Box: In New York, after the stock reaches the US
- Splitting into Amazon shipments
- Before it leaves the UK or EU: Decided before the stock crosses the Atlantic
- With Warehouse Box: Decided in New York, shipment by shipment
- Stock Amazon doesn’t need yet
- Before it leaves the UK or EU: Sent on with the rest, or kept in Europe
- With Warehouse Box: Held in New York until Amazon needs it
- Orders from your own store
- Before it leaves the UK or EU: Need separate stock in the US
- With Warehouse Box: Fulfilled from the same New York stock
- If a label needs changing
- Before it leaves the UK or EU: Found after the stock has crossed the Atlantic
- With Warehouse Box: Changed in New York, before it reaches Amazon
What does Amazon FBA prep in New York include?
Receiving your stock, preparing each item to Amazon’s requirements and packing the cartons for each Amazon shipment.
- Receiving: every delivery booked in, counted and checked against your paperwork.
- Item labels (FNSKU) applied where Amazon requires them, and bagging where an item’s prep guidance calls for it.
- Cartons packed and labelled for each Amazon shipment, working from the shipment you create in Seller Central.
- Storage between shipments, so stock you are not sending to Amazon yet stays in New York.
- Seller-fulfilled (FBM), Shopify and other orders picked and packed from the same stock.
- Stock returned from Amazon checked in like any other delivery.
What do you need from us before the first shipment?
Your product list, Amazon’s prep guidance for each item and your expected volumes. We confirm the work before your first shipment and quote it in US dollars.
- ASINs and FNSKUs for each product, with barcodes and carton contents.
- Amazon’s prep guidance for each item, from Seller Central.
- Expected monthly volumes for FBA, and for FBM or your own store.
- Where the stock is now, so we can arrange or book the freight to New York.
Can you prep for Amazon UK and Amazon’s EU marketplaces too?
Yes. We prep Amazon stock in Middlewich for Amazon.co.uk and in Poland for Amazon’s EU marketplaces, so one provider can cover all three.
Each market’s stock is imported and prepared separately, close to the Amazon fulfilment centres it supplies.
What does Amazon prep in New York cost?
We quote from your products, their prep requirements, your volumes and storage, and confirm it in a written quote in US dollars; we do not publish a rate card.
Freight, duty and customs charges depend on your products and their route.

FAQ
Questions about Amazon prep in the USA
Does Amazon still prep stock in the US?
No. Amazon stopped offering its prep and item labelling service in the US on 1 January 2026, so FBA stock has to arrive at its fulfilment centres ready. We prep it in New York to Amazon’s requirements.
Do you work from our Seller Central shipments?
Yes. You create each shipment in Seller Central and send us its details and carton labels; we prepare, pack and label the stock to match before it goes to Amazon.
Who imports the stock into the US?
Every shipment into the US needs an importer of record, and since June 2026 the US rules for importers based outside the US are stricter. Decide before your first shipment whether to import through your own company, a US company or a US importer; specialist partners we introduce you to handle customs clearance into New York.
Can you fulfil FBM orders too?
Yes. Seller-fulfilled Amazon.com orders, and orders from Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce and other platforms, are picked and packed from the same New York stock.
